As the push for sustainability grows ,emphasis and plans for Solar Energy, Green Hydrogen and Liquid Ammonia plants ,
transition from Fossil based Fuels with Natural Gas , are now becoming the order of the day. More so in the context of
Zero Emission Targets to keep the planet safe. Having Automated the Linde H2 “Steam Methane Reforming Process”
for H2 Production , the integrated “ Haber - Bosch Process” for Ammonia Production, Pipelines Distribution of Natural
gas and Metering for decades, can bring in the all the expertise, now for the Energy Transition initiatives, particularly in the
renewable and Green energy sector.
Industries like fertilizer manufacturing, petrochemicals, chemical manufacturing, steel, and refining always had
“Ammonia plants integrated with Hydrogen production facilities”.
From working with basic automation devices like sensors, measurement devices, transmitters, recorders, and telemetry
systems in mid 80’s, to advancing into smart instrumentation using HART & Fieldbus protocols, have witnessed the
evolution of Technology and Automation, first hand. My journey includes working with advance Automation solutions
like, PLCs, SCADAs, DCS, TAS, HTG systems, AMS systems, Optimization systems, and Simulators since the mid 90’s.
Proud to state , have truly experienced the birth of IoT and RPA technologies, and now continue to enjoy their innovative
applications in diverse industries and applications.
As a technology solution promoter for Emerson and Honeywell, introduced SMART transmitters, Multi Variable
Transmitters, Foundation Fieldbus systems, AMS systems, Terminal Automation Systems, Hydrostatic Tank Gauging
Systems , Electronic Natural Gas Metring and other Intelligent Automation systems, to the Indian Market . Thus my
experience spans over two decades in AI, IoT, and RPA systems, which was earlier applied only in niche industries like Oil &
Gas Plants, Refineries & Power plants and some Niche applications in Manufacturing Industry.
Over the years, have served major Energy clients in India like IOCL’s, Reliance, Essar, MRPL, Gujarat Gas, Mahanagar Gas,
Petronet, British Gas, ONGC, BPCL, and HPCL refineries and similar other organisations.
Technology & Innovation starts with Aerospace Industry, then moves to Défense Systems, then to Niche Industries like
Oil & Gas & Refineries and then to other Industries. Terms used, nomenclature, and speed of computing is all that has
changed. Needs no mention, widespread adaptation of these Technologies, in various Innovative applications and
Business processes, is happening at a rapid pace. Most of these technological advances are encompassed in one
word “Artificial Intelligence (AI)”
In the mid-90s, worked on advanced technologies like neural networks, multiple order polynomial equations in controllers,
fuzzy logic, AI solutions, long before their advent to conventional industries today. Eventually advancements in technology,
is all about Effective and Efficient ways, of Data being transformed to Information , which in turn is transformed
to Knowledge, and eventually Wisdom.
Not a surprise most of the technological advancements and Global Initiatives, are now centric to a Greener World.
(Wisdom at last !) Identifying the optimal source of energy ,and effective use of the same, is all now, the World
needs. Energy Transition, Renewable Energy , Carbon Emissions , Alternate fuels no wonder are the order of the next few
decades for the Global Leaders, Trade & Treaties, Human Welfare Organisations and Business Organisations.
My goal is to help organisations harness “Technology” for progress, specifically in the Energy segment.
